Who can pay with Behalf?
Business customers can use their purchasing limit to fund inventory purchases, business services, and other operational items subject to meeting Behalf underwriting and account approval criteria.
Business customers must be registered in one of the United States Behalf conducts business in (excluded states are West Virginia and Colorado for FinWise/business loan customers) or U.S. Territories and have a valid U.S. business deposit bank account.
While Behalf’s credit policies are confidential, generally the business contact on the account must also be a United States resident and the Guarantor should have ‘good’ or ‘better’ credit.
Please keep in mind, we do not work with third-party financial institutions and do not fund existing debt, including credit card bills, bank loans, phone bills, travel expenses, educational expenses, rent, or employee payroll. Additional restrictions on business payments may apply. For more information, please see the Business Loan Terms and Conditions, here.
As a part of Behalf’s underwriting and credit evaluation, the Business’s ability to pay is considered, including the business’s revenue, income, and bank balance available to cover future payments.
Why does Behalf require my SSN / DOB?
Fraud prevention and legal mandates require Behalf to verify certain identifying information about the Guarantor including their name, legal address, date of birth and Social Security (SSN) or Tax Identification Number (TIN), while processing your business’s application. What this means for you: when you sign up for Behalf, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you as an individual connected to the business. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
It’s important to note that providing us your SSN when signing up for Behalf will not adversely impact your personal credit score, as we do not request a Guarantor’s complete credit report. When you sign up for Behalf, a ‘soft’ inquiry will be made on the Guarantor’s personal credit history and is included as a factor in the business’ eligibility for the account. In addition, we will obtain a business credit report.
What information do I need to provide to sign up as a Behalf business customer?
The customer sign-up process involves providing Behalf with information about your business and details about the Guarantor. You’ll be asked to provide the following:
1. Business Name
2. Business Type
3. Business Address

5. Guarantor’s Name (e.g. business owner or CFO)
6. Guarantor’s Phone
